Radial Arm Saw
Posted By:Larry <Larry.Wood@Delta.com> Date: 29 October 2004, at 7:04 a.m.

Ready for a dumb question? Some backround--Last nite I moved my Sears 12" radial to a different stand. After the saw was in place, the bed with a 3/4" piece of MDF, showed level. Out of curiosity, I then put the level on the carriage arm and it showed may out of level, toward the front of the saw. That is, the level indicated the front of the carriage arm sloped down from the rear, BUT the saw carriage does not "drift" to the front of the saw. It stays put. Question--Is it normal for the carriage arm to be out of level? I pushed upward on the arm end feeling for some play but there seemed to be none. It seems to me the arm should be level. Thank You.
